COOPERATION is a solution-focused training program aimed at managers and staff of all companies and organizations. The program teaches participants the core comunication skills that generate cooperative and energizing working environments.

Cooperation is a synthesis of Ben Furman's and Tapani Ahola's more than three decades of international experience in leadership training and organizational development.

Participants of this programme will learn:

  1. How to pay attention to, and celebrate, successes in a way that energizes teams and even the entire staff of the organisation.
  2. What are the five building blocks of high motivation and engagement and how you can utilize them in coaching others - as well as yourself.
  3. How to avoid blaming and to bring up, discuss and solve problems constructively utilizing the principles of solution-focused psychology.
  4. How to influence or "give feedback to" your workmates in a respectful, yet effective manner, using the "Wish Hand", the five guidlines that help us keep in mind how to to be honest, respectful and kind at the same time.
  5. How to respond to someone who criticises you by disarming the critic and turning their criticism into a fruitful dialogue.
  6. How to resolve hurts and conflicts swiftly in a manner that enhances relationships and improves reciprocal trust and caring.

The program consists of six training sessions or two-hour mini-workshops as well as home assignments to be carried out between sessions. Additionally, there is usually a follow-up session which takes place some weeks after the final session.

To ensure the highest quality of training, Ben Furman and Tapani Ahola require that trainers, or facilitators of the program are certified by Helsinki Brief Therapy Insitute and that participants of the training always receive a personal copy of COOPERATION - Participan's handbook.
